Fotonet news logoFOUR PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITIONS at THE WINCHESTER GALLERY

We have an exceptional programme of photography, from October to March, starting with the Brighton Photo Biennial which will contain both historic and contemporary photography. Followed by three one-person exhibitions by internationally renowned artists.

Fotonet news logoPhotography and Revolution:Memory Trails through the Latin American Left
Brighton Photo Biennial

This exhibition is co-curated by Susie Medley with Julian Stallabrass the BPB Curator and will show the story of how photography was used by revolutions from Mexico in 1910 to the new presidency of Chavez in Venezuela. There will be work shown from archives and by artists and photojournalists - including Susan Meiselas, Jonathan Moller and Sebastiao Salgado.
Exhibition Dates: October 3 - November 7, private view Tuesday October 7
A special programme of talks and films are being arranged, details to follow.

This exhibition is currently at Impressions, Bradford who, with Anna Fox, have curated an exhibition showing Anna Fox's fascination with life in the English countryside and home stories.
Exhibition dates: November 19 - December 12, private view Tuesday November 18.

Pulitzer Prize winner and long time Associated Press correspondent Liu Heung Shing will be discussing his own groundbreaking work and the creation of his new book, China: Portrait of a Country. This fascinating collection of images taken by Chinese photographers since 1949 charts a remarkable visual history of the People’s Republic Of China.
